Part of the Autumn Harvest Collection, a small seasonal gathering inspired by what was ripening in the gardens, orchard and brambles here at Riverbrook.

Apple & Sage began with apples from our trees and sage from the garden—and an idea that changed once the ingredients found their way into the soap pot.

Made with our goat milk, apple purée and sage-infused olive oil, this bar became an exercise in paying attention. The apples naturally brought a warm, soft beige to the soap, reminiscent of freshly cut apple flesh, while greens and touches of rosy red echo the leaves and ripening fruit of the orchard.

A fresh Apple Sage fragrance brings the two together—crisp apple softened by an herbal green note that feels just right for the turn toward autumn.

Sometimes making with the harvest means letting go of the picture you started with and listening to what the ingredients have to say. Apple & Sage is a little reminder of that—a bar shaped as much by the process as by the original idea.
